Integrating Management, PTPN I Suppco Trains IMS in Region 7

Bandarlampung, mengedukasi.com—After the formation of Subholding Supporting Co which merged eight PTPNs on December 1 2023, PTPN I as the surviving entity continues to consolidate management. One of the fastest targets is a comprehensive, simultaneous and integrated company management system. In this context, PTPN I Supporting Co uses a standardization-based Integrated Management System (IMS) which is built based on potential, problems and solutions.

The IMS application which adopts the ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and SMK3 standards was socialized for three days at Regional 7 in Bandar Lampung since Thursday (19/6/24). The socialization, which was attended by 47 offline employees and dozens of online employees from 13 Regional 7 Work Units, was opened by SEVP Business Support Bambang Agustian.

Meanwhile, the main resource person for the direct socialization of training and simulation was Darda Insan Alam, Assistant Management System Head Office (HO, Head Office) PTPN 1 Supporting Co.

In his briefing, Bambang Agustian explained the position of management in the transition period at PTPN I and its relationship with management in Regional 7. He said, as the structure and entity nomenclature changed, the management system automatically underwent changes. More than just the structure and workflow, the strategies, policies and targets to be achieved also change.

“We know that now is a transition period for changes in corporate structure as an effort to respond to challenges. We must respond to this change wisely and with positive thoughts. One change that must be anticipated quickly is the management system. “And today we are starting to introduce a new integrated management system from HO,” said SEVP, who previously served as Secretary of PTPN III Holding.

Bambang emphasized that all elements and all employees in Regional 7 master this new management system. Because, he said, this system will be implemented as soon as possible in all work units within the scope of PTPN I Supporting Co. This applies to all levels and all existing items.

“After the socialization, training and simulation are complete, of course the HO will implement this IMS as a whole. Thus, this Standardization-Based IMS will replace all systems currently used regionally. “So, all elements and all employees are required to understand, understand and apply this IMS well,” he said.

IMS PTPN I is a comprehensive management system that integrates various aspects of company operations. IMS is not only a traffic control facility for office management, finance, marketing, distribution and other administrative matters, but also includes quality, safety, environmental and energy management.

Bambang said that implementing IMS could increase the operational efficiency and effectiveness of PTPN 1 Supporting Co, as well as ensure compliance with applicable regulations. He also stated that IMS is a strategic priority for the company. “IMS is a tool that can help us improve performance and achieve our business goals. “This is a company-wide initiative, and we need everyone to participate in order for this to be successful,” he said.

Meanwhile, Darda Insan Alam, when giving an introduction to the material, said that IMS is a comprehensive management system that integrates various aspects of business operations. “In the training, participants received training on various topics related to IMS, including: IMS concepts and benefits, IMS standard requirements, IMS implementation process, and roles and responsibilities of employees at IMS,” said Darda.

“The IT team from HO, working together with all departments, has built this IMS in such a way that it is able to accommodate all elements in an integrative manner. “We are confident that with this new IMS, PTPN I Supporting Co will become a more efficient, effective and sustainable company,” he said.
